Station - Instructions for candidate
You are a final-year medical student in a Bunbury general practice.
Tuyet Vo is a 68-year-old woman attending a general practice in Bunbury with a two-month history of a small right groin lump and a dragging ache.
Your tasks are to:
- 1Take a focused history.
- 2Perform a focused examination.
- 3Request any relevant investigations and interpret the results provided.
- 4Explain the diagnosis and your management plan to the patient.
- You do NOT need to summarise your findings to the examiner.
- Please verbalise your examination to the examiner; findings will be provided on request.
- You do not need to write a prescription or perform a procedure.
This is a 15-minute station, with 2 minutes of reading time.
