Station - Instructions for candidate
You are an intern working in the Emergency Department of a metropolitan hospital in Perth. It is 9 am.
Khoa Dinh, 38, is in a cubicle and will not settle. His partner drove him in.
Your tasks are to:
- 1Take a focused history.
- 2Perform a focused examination.
- 3Request any relevant investigations and interpret the results provided.
- 4Summarise your findings to the examiner with your most likely diagnosis, your differential diagnoses and your initial management plan.
- The genital examination is described, not performed; the examiner will give the findings.
This is a 10-minute station, with 2 minutes of reading time.
Ask the examiner
