Station - Instructions for candidate
You are a medical student on placement in a general practice clinic in Perth.
Callum Hobbs is a 13-month-old boy brought by his mother to the GP about a month of a dry, itchy, red rash on his cheeks and in his elbow creases. The rash has been worsening, especially in the mornings and after bathing. Callum scratches constantly and is having difficulty sleeping.
Your tasks are to:
- Take a focused history from Callum's mother.
- Explain the diagnosis and the plan to Callum's mother.
- You are not required to examine the child; if you would like the examination findings, ask the examiner.
