Station - Instructions for candidate
You are a final-year medical student on placement at a general practice in Joondalup.
Karen Mitchell, a 45-year-old school principal, has booked in for a repeat prescription of her reflux tablet and wants to ask whether she still needs it.
Your tasks are to:
- Take a focused history.
- Counsel Ms Mitchell about her reflux medication.
- Discuss your management plan with Ms Mitchell.
- You do NOT need to examine the patient.
- You do NOT need to summarise your findings to the examiner.
This is a 10-minute station, with 2 minutes of reading time.
